With over 20 years of experience, Raymond 'Fish' Jones has built a reputation for reliable, honest electrical work throughout Kaitaia and the wider Far North region.

What started in 2006 as Fish Jones Electrical was a true family operation. One van, a home garage, and a busy household with four kids. From those humble beginnings, the business has steadily grown through hard work, word of mouth, and a commitment to doing things right.

In 2026, we took the next step in our journey as a business and became Far North Electrical, a name that better reflects the team, the community, and the wider area we proudly service.

Today, we’re a family-run business with a team of 10+ staff, a permanent workshop in Kaitaia, and a loyal customer base built over two decades. Fish continues to lead the team in the field, while wife Alex and daughter Brenna keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

While the business has grown, our values haven’t changed. Hard work, quality workmanship, honest advice, and genuine customer service remain at the heart of everything we do.

We’re proud to be local, Māori-operated and family-run, and proud to provide electrical services to the people, homes and businesses of the Far North.
